Before the Sydney match, Australian players did a photoshoot wearing pink caps at Sydney Stadium on Wednesday.
The fifth and final Test match of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy will be played between India and Australia at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) from January 3. Before this match, the Australian players had a photoshoot in pink caps at Sydney Stadium on Wednesday.
This match is called Pink Test. Indeed, since 2009, the first Test of the year played in Sydney has been called the Pink Test. This test is not played with the pink ball but only with the red ball. The pink ball is used only in the day-night test. However, in the pink test, everything from the stumps, gloves of the players, bat handle, brand logo, advertising hoardings, caps and attire of the spectators appear rosy-pink.
Australian players did a photoshoot with Glenn McGrath (pink T-shirt) in pink cap on Wednesday.

Why is Pink Test carried out? Pink Test is linked to former Australian fast bowler Glenn McGrath and his wife Jane. The third day of the Test Match is known as ‘Jane McGrath Day’. Jane died in 2008 from breast cancer. After this, Pink Test started to be conducted in Sydney to raise awareness about breast cancer. This is the birthplace of Glenn McGrath.
The McGrath Foundation receives proceeds from the match. Whatever profit is made from this match will be donated to the McGrath Foundation. Glenn and his wife Jane founded the foundation in 2005, but Jane died three years later. Fans wear pink clothing to support this awareness campaign. The McGrath Foundation is a charity that supports breast cancer patients.
