The National Anti-Doping Agency (NADA) has suspended wrestler Bajrang Punia for four years. Punia had refused to give his sample for a doping test during the national team selection tests on March 10, which is why action was taken against him.

Punia, who won the silver medal at the Tokyo Olympics, was temporarily suspended on April 23. After this, the World Wrestling Organization (UWW) also took action against him. Poonia had appealed the suspension, after which it was canceled until May 31.

After this, NADA sent a notice to Poonia on June 23. Poonia challenged this decision on July 11, after which hearings were held on September 20 and October 4. Now, in its order, the NADA Anti-Doping Committee (ADDP) has upheld his four-year suspension.
