BMW India has launched the 2024 BMW M340i sports sedan in the Indian market. The company claims that it can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in just 4.4 seconds, making it the fastest BMW car and India-made ICE car in the country.

The price of the car has been kept at Rs 74.90 lakh (ex-showroom). Customers can book it online or by visiting the dealership and deliveries will begin soon. The BMW M340i competes with cars like the Audi S5 Sportback and Mercedes AMG-C43.

Based on the standard 3 Series, this sports sedan was first launched by the company in India in 2021 and was later introduced after a minor update in December 2022. The car has now been launched with some updates cosmetics, new color options and advanced features.

Exterior: Arctic Race Blue and Fire Red will be available in new colors. The luxury sedan now gets 19-inch alloy wheels and adaptive suspension in jet black color. The car will have two new color options, Arctic Race Blue and Fire Red. Apart from this, Dravid Gray and Black Sapphire color options are also available.

The sedan features sporty front and rear bumpers, dual L-shaped LED daytime running lights like the BMW 3 Series, stylish LED headlights, wraparound LED taillights, exhaust setup double, M-specific ORVM housings and an M-specific grille with black finish.

Interior: 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster. The dashboard design and overall layout inside the car remains the same, but the operating system has now been updated from 8.0 to 8.5. BMW introduced Vernasca leather seats with contrasting M (blue) stitching and minor changes were also made to the three-spoke steering.

Other features include a free-standing curved dashboard, which houses a 14.9-inch curved touchscreen and a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster. Apart from this, features like ambient lighting, three-zone automatic climate control, front and rear parking sensors, and 464-watt Harman Kardon audio system have been provided in the car.

For safety purposes, it is equipped with 8 airbags, Cornering Brake Control (CBC), 360-degree camera and Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS).

Performance: 3.0 liter turbocharged inline six-cylinder gasoline engine. No mechanical changes have been made to the updated BMW M340i sports sedan. For performance, it has a 3.0 liter turbocharged inline six-cylinder petrol engine, which generates a power of 374 hp and a maximum torque of 500 Nm. For transmission, the engine is tuned with a gearbox 8 gears.

The car comes with 4WD option. The company claims that the car accelerates from 0 to 100 kmph in just 4.4 seconds, making it the fastest BMW Made in India car and the fastest ICE car. BMW claims that the car’s suspension can be lowered by 10mm.
