Kia India today (October 3) launched the fourth generation model of its most luxurious Carnival MPV limousine in India. The Korean company unveiled this high-end car on September 16. The luxury MPV is equipped with features such as a power sliding rear door and a dual power sunroof.
The new Carnival has been introduced in only one fully loaded variant, the Limousine Plus. The starting price of the 2024 Kia Carnival has been kept at Rs 63.90 lakh (ex-showroom). Kia has started booking the minivan. Buyers can book it online from the official website or offline from the Kia dealership by paying a token sum of Rs 2 lakh.
The second generation model of the car is available for sale in India. It can be had as a more premium option than the Toyota Innova HighCross (₹19.77 Lakh – ₹30.98 Lakh), and also as a more affordable luxury MPV than the Toyota Vellfire (₹1.22 Crore – 1 .32 Crore ₹) and Lexus LM Will. be able to choose.
Exterior: One Touch electrically operated sliding rear door The global model of the Kia Carnival was updated in 2023, but was not launched in India. Its fourth generation model received Kia’s latest design language.
It features a prominent grille with chrome embellishments, vertically positioned 4-section headlights and connected L-shaped LED daytime running lights (DRLs). Overall, the design of the upcoming Carnival is very similar to that of the Kia EV9.
One Touch power rear sliding doors are provided on the sides, which were also present in its second generation model. Flush type door handles will also be available here. The luxury car is equipped with 18-inch alloy wheels and connected LED taillights. Apart from this, a wide dual electric sunroof will be available on top.
Interior: 12.3-inch dual digital display The interior of the Kia Carnival is similar to its overall model. The three-row layout is given with a captain’s chair in the second row and bench-style seats in the third row. The second row of seats is equipped with sliding and reclining captain’s chairs with ventilation, heating and leg extension support. It will have the choice of two interior colors: navy blue and beige and brown.
The dashboard of the new generation luxury car features a touchscreen and a 12.3-inch digital driver display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Here you will also get a heads-up display. For added comfort, the car is equipped with an electrically adjustable driver’s seat with lumbar support and an 8-way adjustable passenger seat.
The base limousine variant will get a dark blue/beige cabin and the more premium limousine variant will get a premium beige/black color scheme. Apart from this, the 12-speaker Bose premium audio system, 3-zone automatic climate control, power tailgate and ambient lighting will give a premium feel.
Performance: 2.2 liter diesel engine For performance, the 2024 Kia Carnival Limousine will be equipped with a 2.2 liter diesel engine, which generates a power of 193 hp and a maximum torque of 441 Nm. For transmission, the engine is tuned with a gearbox 8-speed torque converter automatic. The car will come with a front-wheel drive option.
