The Vande Bharat sleeper train will have 16 coaches. The train will travel at a speed of 160 km/h.

Integral Coach Factory (ICF) today (October 23) introduced the production version of the sleeping car of the Vande Bharat train. Vande Bharat trains with sleeper coaches will be launched soon. ICF Managing Director BG Mallya said that this train would be ready by January 15.

Mallya of the Chennai-based coach factory said: “At present, the demand for trains in India is so high that our order book is full and we do not have the capacity to manufacture more trains for export. In 3-4 years we can also start looking at exports.

As in a normal sleeper coach, there will be three sleeper seats in a row.

Will run after getting certificate from Lucknow RDSO ICF Managing Director said, “So far, we have produced chair wagon rakes, but due to the popularity of the train, the Railway Board asked us to produce the sleeper version.

As we already have many orders, we share the design with PML who manufactures it. Then it comes to us for commissioning. From there, the coach will proceed to the RDSO station in Lucknow for a trial run, from where he will get the racing certificate.

Railway Minister showed model of Vande Bharat sleeper train Earlier, Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav had shown a glimpse of the first model Vande Bharat Sleeper train on September 1 this year. He had come to inspect the train at the Bharat Earth Movers Limited (BEML) factory in Bangalore.

The Vande Bharat Sleeper train has 16 coaches. These include 11 3-AC coaches, 4 2-AC coaches and one 1-AC coach.

Ashwini Vaishnav said that the Vande Bharat sleeper train would be counted among the best trains in the world. The train carriages and toilets have been modernized. There are many safety features on the train. A separate cabin was built for maintenance personnel.

Especially on long journeys like Delhi-Mumbai and Delhi-Kolkata, passengers will enjoy great comfort. However, it has not yet been clarified on which route the train will run.
