Honda Cars India today (December 4) launched the facelift model of its popular sedan Honda Amaze in India. The company introduced the third generation Amaze with a new exterior design, new interior and advanced features. The company claims that the car will give a mileage of 19.46 kmmpl with the CVT transmission.
The updated subcompact sedan is available in 3 variants and 6 colors and is priced starting at Rs 7.99 lakh, going up to Rs 10.89 lakh (all prices, ex-showroom pan India) for higher variants . These are introductory prices only available for 45 days. After that, prices will be increased.
The company claims that the new Honda is the cheapest car in the country with Advanced Driving Assist System (ADAS). The 2024 Honda Amaze will compete with other sub-4 meter sedans like the Maruti Dzire, Hyundai Aura and Tata Tigor. Test drives of the new Amaze have begun and deliveries will begin in January 2025.

Exterior: Full LED headlights and 15-inch multi-spoke alloy wheels
In terms of design, the new Amaze features a wide and straight grille at the front. There are dual projector headlights on either side. Below, there’s a simple, sleek bumper with projector fog lights.
The side design remains the same as the current model, but it features new 15-inch multi-spoke alloy wheels. These were fitted with 185 section tires. The rear profile of the car is very similar to that of the new Amaze City. The taillights, trunk lid design and rear bumper are very similar to those of the City.
Other exterior highlights include LED headlights, Z-size LED taillights, a shark fin antenna and a chrome strip above the grille. The new Amaze has been designed at the Honda Asia Pacific R&D center in Thailand.
The new Honda Amaze is available in 6 color options including the new Obsidian Blue color. These include Lunar Silver Metallic, Radiant Red Metallic, Platinum White Pearl, Golden Brown Metallic, and Meteoroid Gray Metallic.
Interior: 10.25-inch standalone infotainment system The overall layout of the new Amaze’s cabin resembles that of the Honda Elevate. Like the older model, it features a black and beige theme. A 10.25-inch standalone infotainment system with a digital cluster and a 3-spoke steering wheel is provided on the dashboard. All seats feature beige leatherette upholstery, adjustable headrests and 3-point seat belts.
The new Amaze gets a semi-digital driver display, automatic climate control with rear AC vents and a wireless phone charger. Paddle shifters are also provided there, although they are only provided in the automatic variants.
Other features include automatic climate control, 6-speaker audio system, rear air vents, 460 liters of trunk space, wireless charger, remote start with AC control, connected car technology Honda Connect with 5 years of free subscription, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto is currently being given.
Safety Features: ADAS with 6 airbags as standard For added safety, the new generation Amaze gets 6 airbags as standard, new LaneWatch camera, electronic stability control (ESC) and tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS). Honda will also get the Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) with features like Lane Keep Assist and Forward Collision Warning.
Performance: Mileage of 19.46 kmpl with CVT automatic transmission No mechanical changes have been made to the new Amaze. For performance, the car has been equipped with a 1.2 liter naturally aspirated 4-cylinder petrol engine. This E-20 compliant engine generates a power of 90 hp and a torque of 110 Nm. For the transmission, the option of 5-speed manual and CVT automatic is available with the engine.
The company claims that the car has a mileage of 19.46 kmmpl with a CVT automatic transmission and 18.65 kmmpl with a 5-speed MT. Honda offers a standard 3-year/unlimited kilometer warranty with the car. Customers can extend it up to 7 years with unlimited mileage.
