Bajaj Auto is gearing up to launch the updated model of its popular Chetak electric scooter on December 20. A new chassis will be used in the new electric vehicle, in which the battery will be placed under the floor.

This will provide more storage than the 22 liter under seat storage. Apart from this, some changes can also be seen in the design of the electric scooter. The electric scooter should also benefit from greater autonomy thanks to the new battery.

Apart from this, there will be no changes in the design of Bajaj’s new Chetak electric scooter and the price can also be kept around the existing model. Currently, Bajaj Chetak is available in 3 variants with prices ranging from Rs 96,000 to Rs 1.29 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

LED lighting setup with steel body The electric scooter will come with a steel body as before and there will be very little changes in its design. It will feature a body-colored rearview mirror, a satin black grab bar, a matching passenger footrest and an anthracite black finish for the headlight housing.

The electric scooter will come with a disc brake, alloy wheels, LED lighting, telescopic front suspension and an IP67 waterproof battery. For braking, it currently has drum brakes on both sides, but the disc brake setup can also be found in the new model.

Speaking of features like Hill Hold Control and Follow Me Home lighting, the electric vehicle has turn-by-turn navigation, music control, call alerts and a TFT display colorful with customizable themes, Follow Me Home lighting and Bluetooth app connectivity. .

Apart from this, the scooter will also get hill hold control and an additional ‘Sport’ riding mode. In India, Chetak competes with electric scooters like Ather Rizta Z, Ola S1 Pro and TVS i-Cube.

Range of 137 km on full charge and top speed of 73 kmph Currently, Bajaj Chetak is available in three variants. This includes Chetak 2903, Chetak 3202 and Chetak 3201. The Chetak 2903 is priced at Rs 95,998 ex-showroom, coming with a 2.88 kWh battery. Its range is 123 km and its top speed is 63 km/h.

The Chetak 3202 is priced at Rs 1,15,018 ex-showroom, comes with a 3.2 kWh battery. Its range is 137 km and its top speed is 73 km/h. While the price of Chetak 3201 is Rs 1,27,244 ex-showroom, delivered with a 3.2 kWh battery. Its range is 136 km and its top speed is 73 km/h.
