Citroën India today (September 30) launched the updated version of the Citroën C3 Aircross in the Indian market. The company presented the car under the name Aircross SUV. It was recently showcased at the Basalt SUV coupe launch event.

The updated SUV has been updated with features like LED projector headlights, 6 airbags and automatic climate control. Apart from this, the company has also given the option of a new naturally aspirated petrol engine in the car.

Starting price Rs 8.49 lakh, delivery from October 8 The car is available in 5-seater and 7-seater options. Its starting price has been kept at Rs 8.49 lakh (ex-showroom, Pan-India), which goes up to Rs 14.35 lakh (ex-showroom, Pan-India) in the top variant. Interested customers can book the SUV online or by visiting their nearest dealership.

Citroën will begin deliveries of the Aircross SUV from October 8. In the segment, it competes with MG Astor, Hyundai Creta, Honda Elevate, Kia Seltos, Volkswagen Taigun, Skoda Kushaq and Maruti Grand Vitara. The 7-seater Aircross can also be a good alternative to the Mahindra Scorpio Classic.

What’s new in the Aircross SUV Apart from the new name, the new Aircross SUV gets new LED projector headlights instead of halogen headlights. ORVMs now come with an electrically adjustable auto-folding feature. At the same time, 17-inch dual-tone alloy wheels have been provided on the sides as before and apart from that, there is no change in the exterior design.

The layout of the dashboard in the cabin remains the same, but now features soft-touch materials. Apart from this, the car will now get features like 6 airbags, rear AC vents with automatic climate control, sliding front armrest, new flip key, grab handle and on-board rear power window switch door as standard.

As before, the SUV gets 17-inch dual-tone alloy wheels.

The car has a 7-inch digital driver display.

Other features: 10.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system As before, the Citroën Aircross SUV comes with a 10.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system with 40 connected features as well as wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Apart from this, features such as a 7-inch digital driver display, steering wheel-mounted audio controls, day/night IRVM (inside the rearview mirror), and height-adjustable driver’s seat have been provided.

For passenger safety, it now has features like 6 airbags, electronic stability control (ESC), hill hold assist, tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS), rear parking sensor and a rear parking camera.

Performance: New 1.2 liter 3-cylinder naturally aspirated engine Talking about the performance, the SUV is equipped with a 1.2 liter 3-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine, which produces a power of 110 PS and a torque of 170 Nm mated to a 6-speed MT gearbox and a torque of 205 Nm mated to a 6-speed torque converter automatic.

Apart from this, the SUV will now also get a 1.2-liter 3-cylinder naturally aspirated engine, which generates 81 PS of power and 115 Nm of torque and comes only with a 5-speed manual gearbox. The same configuration is also found in the C3 sedan and the Basalt coupe SUV.
