The Federation of Automobile Dealers Associations (FADA) has released the report on vehicles sold in October 2024. According to this, 28 lakh 32 thousand 944 vehicles were sold in the Indian automobile market last month, with a growth of 32.14 % on an annual basis. While in October last year, 21 lakh 43 thousand 929 vehicles were sold.
The highest growth of 36.34% was seen in two-wheeler sales. Last month, a total of 20 lakh 65 thousand 095 two-wheelers were sold in the country, in which Hero MotoCorp was number one with sales of 5 lakh 76 thousand 532 two-wheelers. A year ago, a total of 15 lakh 14 thousand 634 two-wheelers were sold.
At the same time, the commercial segment witnessed an annual growth of 6.37%, in which Tata Motors holds the first position with sales of 30,562 vehicles. Maruti Suzuki is number one in passenger vehicle sales.
Maruti Suzuki sold maximum 1.99 lakh cars
Talking about passenger vehicles, Maruti Suzuki sold the maximum 1.99 lakh cars. With this, Maruti Suzuki’s market share increased from 40.48% to 41.33% on an annual basis. As of October last year, the company had sold 1.47 lakh cars.
