1. Question: Will the old PAN be invalid? Answer: No. There will be no impact on validity. Those who apply for a new PAN will get this PAN 2.0.
2. Question: How to get a new PAN? Answer: If you want a new PAN with QR code, you can apply. It will be received on the registered email. You can download it from there.
3. Question: Where to apply? Answer: Two agencies are authorized. These are Proteus (formerly NSDL e-Governance) and UTI Infrastructure Technology and Services Ltd. (UTIITSL). Check the back of your PAN card to find out which agency to contact for reprinting.
4. Question: How to apply? Answer: Those whose old pan is transformed into protein. Or obtained via the “Instant e-PAN” feature on ITD’s e-filing portal. These holders must request a reprint of the PAN. Here you can download PAN by filling details like PAN, Aadhaar and completing formalities like OTP. While those whose PAN is issued by the UTI ITSL must go there.
5. Question: What are the charges for PAN with QR code? Answer: If you want a physical card, you will have to pay a fee of Rs 50.
6. Question: How many days will it take to get the PAN? Answer: If the fee is deposited in physical form, the card will be reprinted and sent to the address on file. The new PAN card is expected to arrive in 20 days.
