Tension in relations increased due to attacks on Hindu religious places

The tension in Bangladesh-India relations has increased significantly in recent times. Since the overthrow of Sheikh Hasina, Hindu leaders and religious sites have been continually targeted. Apart from this, many provocative statements are also made about India. Hindu religious leader Chinmay Prabhu has been in prison since November 25 for treason. Both countries have also made very strong statements on this subject.

The anti-reservation movement had staged a coup

Let us tell you that on June 5 this year, the High Court introduced a 30% quota system in jobs in Bangladesh, after which students of Dhaka universities protested. This reservation was given to the families of freedom fighters. When this reservation was abolished, students began demanding the resignation of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. In a short time, a large number of students and ordinary citizens took to the streets against the Prime Minister and his government.

Two months after this protest, on August 5, Sheikh Hasina resigned as Prime Minister and left Bangladesh to settle in India. After that, an interim government was established.
