Yang Tengbo has previously been seen with prominent politicians like former British Prime Minister David Cameron and Theresa May. Prince Andrew made a speech at the Palace China Platform to promote Chinese businesses. Yang is an important person involved in this platform.

Yang is accused of being involved in suspicious activities on behalf of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). The British intelligence agency MI-5 had accused Yang of posing a threat to national security. The court accepted the agency’s report and rejected Yang’s appeal.
