Dozens of ministers and experts from Muslim countries participated in this summit organized by the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and the Muslim World League. This summit was organized in Pakistan.

At the conference, Malala called for creating an international law against gender discrimination.

The Taliban do not consider women as human beings

Malala said the Taliban in Afghanistan do not view women as human beings. There is nothing Islamic in his politics. The Taliban punish women and girls who dare to break their laws.

The Taliban hide their crimes behind religion, but in reality their policies are completely contrary to our beliefs. They created a system of gender apartheid in Afghanistan. Malala called on Muslim leaders not to give legitimacy to the Taliban.

The Afghan Taliban have not yet responded to Malala’s statement. Although the Taliban earlier stated that they provide respect and rights to women in accordance with Afghan culture and Islamic law. The Taliban government says Islamic law guarantees the rights of Afghan men and women.

Since the arrival of the Taliban government in Afghanistan, many types of restrictions have been continuously imposed on women. These include banning girls from going to school, speaking in public, showing their faces and participating in sports.

Malala was shot in the head

Malala was born in 1997 in the Swat Valley in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan. Ten years after Malala’s birth, Swat was captured by the Taliban. In 2009, Malala began writing a diary for the BBC under the name “Gul Makai”, hiding her real name. He mentions the evil acts of the Taliban in Swat.

Malala first gained worldwide attention writing a diary for the BBC when Malala’s father, Ziauddin, made his daughter’s identity public in December 2009. In January 2020, a film based on Malala named Gul Makai was also released.

In 2012, Malala was shot in the head by Pakistani Taliban terrorists. After this incident that happened to her, Malala started blogging for a media outlet. For her courage, the United Nations declared Malala Day on July 12, her 16th birthday.

Malala was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize in 2013. He was awarded the Nobel Prize jointly with Indian child rights activist Kailash Satyarthi in 2014.
