The festival of Lights i.e. Diwali has been celebrated all over the world including India. During this ceremony, eminent world leaders celebrated the festival of Diwali and extended their best wishes. US presidential candidate Kamala Harris celebrated Diwali at a temple in Pennsylvania.

Vice President Kamala Harris said: “Today we join more than a billion people in America and around the world to light lamps. We join them in celebrating the struggle of good versus evil, of knowledge versus ignorance, and of light versus darkness.

British Prime Minister Keir Starmer also celebrated Diwali. He shared a photo wearing a puja thali. they wrote-

Earlier, Diwali celebrations were celebrated on Wednesday evening at the US President’s residence. Meanwhile, the military band played the aarti song ‘Om Jai Jagdish Hare’. This video was shared by Geeta Gopinath, Deputy Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund.

The British Prime Minister also thanked former Prime Minister Rishi Sunak for his services. Sunak resigned as opposition leader on Thursday to mark Diwali. Sunak said that two years ago he became leader of the Conservative Party on Diwali and today he was leaving the post on the same day of Diwali.

Maryam Nawaz celebrated Diwali in Pakistan Diwali was also celebrated in Pakistan on Wednesday. The chief minister of Pakistan’s Punjab province, Maryam Nawaz, joined the celebrations alongside Hindus and Sikhs.

CM Maryam started the program by lighting the lamp. I also did virtual fireworks. Addressing the people, Maryam said that if anyone commits atrocities against minorities, she will stand with the victims.

Maryam also interacted with Hindu women during the program. Furthermore, checks of Rs 15,000 each were given to 1,400 Hindu families.
